HSE CREATIVE OPEN: A Global Student Competition by HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL
The competition aims to bring together original ideas and standout projects across design, contemporary art, and fashion, while highlighting career opportunities in the creative industry.
Students from any university, anywhere in the world, are welcome to participate.

About the nomination
Photography has always captured what can be definitively stated: it existed. Roland Barthes even called this property of the medium its «noema.» Today, however, photography has evolved beyond merely documenting objects and events destined for the past; it can now shape the future and create what has never existed. With digital editing tools and neural networks, photography has become a powerful instrument of design.
Our competition invites participants to merge the documentary accuracy of photography with the strength of their creative imagination. It is an opportunity to explore the full spectrum of contemporary photographic practices, from applied contexts to purely artistic endeavors.
