Environmental Forum

The installation, 2020> was made for the exhibition «My Forces. An environmental exhibition of local significance.» This project, designed by Alexandra Kiseleva, the curator of the Alley Gallery, is an attempt to make a truly green exhibition. New materials are often used in the production of exhibitions, and many resources are spent. Already in the organization process, events devoted to the current environmental situation are beginning to contradict their theme and are not environmentally friendly. The Alley Lights Gallery team experimented with conscious self-restraint and made an exhibition with zero investments. The environmental forum was the centre of the exhibition. By referring to the architectural meaning of the word «forum», the installation became a meeting place for local residents and all interested persons, and it was attended by a lot of separate garbage collection, a discussion on modern environmental issues and a party for the exchange of things. In implementing the concept, the installation is fully implemented from the rematerials — the contents of the galleys — of the material remaining from the previous exhibitions.
